Common Gemstone Models
|
||||||||||||||||||
Many models have a well defined, ideal shape as well as an easy structure.
Such are gemstones and especially the brilliant cut. I have put together a collection of common gem cuts, so it is unnecessary for everyone to do for himself. The gems aren't textured, but you can get some good textures from MAXON. Models were made in Cinema 4D 6.3. For users of other 3D programs I have added a DXF-file, too.

Brilliant cut and Brilliant cut “round”
Normaly the first modell is good enough to work with, but if you have need of a close up, there is a second cut which has 80 edges and is nearly round.
